
Not a lot to do here. Glue in some wood blocks to back up the screws that will go through the crossbeans that hold the two hulls together. Turn the deck over and drill the pilot holes for the coupling beams through the deck and the backing plates. There are some little dimples in the deck to guide you. The instructions also call for the installation of the plastic strip hatch ring. I did not glue this in at this point. Later on we will want to glue the hulls to the decks and I wanted to be able to lay the decks upside down on a flat surface for this. The hatch stands proud of the deck by about a quarter of an inch, so if it is installed now, the hulls will not lay flat.
